12 reasons why we need to read and study the Bible

King David, the greatest King of Israel said in Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Paul, the greatest missionary, who converted the world in his time said to Timothy in 2Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

1.  The Bible is the Word of God. We need to talk to God and we need to hear from God. The Bible is the surest way to communicate with God. As we progress, different techniques are learned by the students how to know that he is hearing from God. Please read Basic Theology to know what kind of theology you personally hold to know God.

2.  The Bible gives us first hand information on what God want us to do in this life.

3.  The Bible teaches how to inherit the eternal life with Him.

4.  The Bible teaches us who Jesus really is.

5.  The Bible tells us how to experience and acquire the abundant life promised by Jesus for everyone. That abundant life is the life while we are here on earth.

6.  The Bible tells us who the Holy Spirit is.

7.  The Bible tells us how to tap to the power of the Holy Spirit.

8.  The Bible teaches us how to ward off demons, spirits, physical sickness, depression, poverty, bad relationships with spouse or with others, and all kinds of problems in this life.

9.  The Bible teaches us the Love of God and how it is different from the love that we know.

10.  The Bible teaches how to be persons of honesty and integrity.

11.  The Bible teaches us how to be fishers of men and women and how to become a good leader to them.

12.  The Bible assures us of our salvation beyond doubt enjoying the company of Jesus the Christ. Please read “Salvation
